| Funeral services will be held Monday, October 16, 2006 at 10 am in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille. He passed away Saturday, October 14, 2006 at the age of 78. | ||
|
Visiting hours are on Sunday at 10 am until 9 pm and Monday from 8 am until
the service begins. A Rosary will be prayed Sunday at 7 pm Martin &
Castille Funeral home.

| He was a native of
Chauvin, Louisiana and has been a resident of Lafayette for sixty-six
years. He served his country as a proud member of the Louisiana Army
National Guard.
Most of his life was spent as a carpenter. Lee Roy Pitre, Sr was a true master of his trade specializing in cabinetry. He also worked as the shop foreman for over twenty-five years with Dwight Andrus Homes. Prior to that he spent his time as a craftsman building and repairing shrimp boats as his farther and grand farther before him did for many years.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Anna Lou T Pitre of Parks, three sons and one daughter Debra (Pitre) Carroll , Her children: Candace, Mandi, Tony and three grandchildren Wyatt, Ian, & Collin Lee Roy J. Pitre, Jr.and his wife Lilia from Ukraine, Their children; Desiree & husband Mark, Elizabeth Pitre, Stephanie Pitre, Dilyara Emiraliyeva, Jana Emiraliyeva and his great grand children Jacob and Victoria Schrader. Jarvis J. Pitre and his wife Tammy of Lafayette, their son Cohn Pitre. Eric D. Pitre and his wife, Laura from Frisco Texas, their sons, Daniel, Matthew and Nathan. He was preceded in death by his parents Elie Johseph Pitre and Leona
